Questions about the quiz

How accurate is this career quiz?

It sorts your answers into one of six broad work styles. It is a starting point, not a test: it does not look at your skills, qualifications or experience. For careers matched to your own skills, start from the job you do now or paste your CV.

Where do the salary figures come from?

Each figure is the median gross annual pay for full-time employees in the job's SOC 2020 unit group, UK, from the Office for National Statistics. Source: ONS ASHE 2025 (provisional), Table 14.7a, published 23 October 2025. A median covers everyone in the group, including people with years of experience, so starting pay is usually lower.

Do I need to create an account?

No. The quiz is free with no sign-up. The CV check needs no account or email either: your results get their own private link, kept for 12 months.

What career suits me if I am an introvert?

Jobs with more focused, solo work include data analysis, software development, user research, technical writing and compliance. See our guide to jobs for introverts.

Can I change careers at 30, 40 or 50?

Yes. In England you can start an apprenticeship at 16 or over if you are not in full-time education, with no upper age limit given, according to GOV.UK. Our guides to changing career at 30 and at 50 set out the routes, what they cost and how long they take.
